Macildowie are working with a leading client based in Rugby, a leading manufacturing business looking to expand their Technical Marketing function. We are looking for an experienced Website Manager to take ownership of the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of a portfolio of multi-brand, multi-language B2B websites.
You will lead day-to-day site development and maintenance, technical SEO, analytics implementation (GA4/GTM and consent), product data integrations, and marketing automation. This is a hands-on role where you will code and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins, build and maintain data connections between websites, PIM, CRM, and marketing/BI tools using APIs, webhooks, and automation platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage uptime, releases, backups, and incident response for all websites.
- Develop and maintain custom WordPress/WooCommerce themes and plugins (PHP, JS, ACF, CPTs, REST API, WooCommerce hooks/filters).
- Drive technical SEO: Core Web Vitals, site architecture, hreflang, schema, indexing, multilingual SEO.
- Improve UX and content performance through navigation enhancements, A/B testing, and CRO best practices.
- Manage PIM-website integration for product data localisation and accuracy.
- Oversee GA4, GTM, consent setup, and data integrations with CRM, marketing automation, and BI tools.
- Optimise performance through hosting, CDN, caching, and media delivery improvements.
- Coordinate development of calculators, visualisers, and customer-facing digital tools.
- Lead and mentor a junior web developer, running sprints and documenting processes.
You'll Bring:
- Proven experience managing multi-site WordPress/WooCommerce B2B environments.
- Strong technical SEO and content operations skills.
- Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Node.js, Git workflows.
- GA4, GTM, and consent management expertise.
- PIM integration and product automation knowledge.
- CRM and marketing automation integrations experience.
- Team leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable:
- A/B testing, heatmapping, CRO.
- Large-scale accessibility and performance optimisation.
- SEO tools knowledge (BrightEdge, Screaming Frog).
- Security and compliance familiarity.
