Junior IT Support Engineer

IT Support Engineer - Junior - Circa £30k + Benefits Package. Onsite. Central Cambridge. Permanent. T6/MN/(phone number removed).
Onsite - Monday to Friday during Term Time / School Holiday Periods - reduced working hours & flexibility to work from home.
*Start Date: End of August 2025.

Leading Education Provider is seeking to secure Junior IT Support Engineer to part of a centralised IT Support Team. The role will provide support to 3 Schools based in central Cambridge.
*The role holder will start at the End of August 2025.
  
Technical Skills Required:
  • IT Support Engineer - 1 - 3+ years’ experience.
  • On-site & Remote IT support experience.
  • Education Sector - ideally have provided IT Support in a School environment.
  • MS365 & Google Suite /or/ Google Classroom - experience preferred.
  • Office 365 & Google - User Account Management.
  • Windows 10/11 support.
  • Network Fundamentals & Troubleshooting - such as - Access Points, Wi-Fi, Switches, Firewalls, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • Support of End User Devices - Windows, Laptop, Desktop, iPads & Tablets.
  • iPads, Apple Laptops & Printer support.
  • Maintain, Troubleshoot & Upgrade - Hardware, Software, Network & Peripheral Equipment.
  • Support Digital Sign-In Systems.
  • Audio Visual - setup of technologies & equipment - i.e., Projectors & Interactive Displays etc.
  • Hardware & Software support - installation, configuration & deployment.
  • Security - Firewall, AV, Web Filters & Security Policies - Fundamentals.
  • Maintain IT Documentation & Asset Register.
  • Ensure Data Protection, Safeguarding & Cybersecurity policies are followed.
  • Participating in IT Projects & Deployments.
  • Liaising with external IT Vendors & IT Service Providers.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills & a proactive approach.
  • Flexible - may require some LIMITED out of hours support for events like - Parent Evenings & Conferences etc.
Working Hours:
Onsite Role - Term Time Hours - 8.30am - 5.00pm.
During School Holiday Periods - 8:30am - 4:00pm - flexibility to work from home.
