Finance Project Manager (MS Dynamics 365) - 12-Month Contract Location: Oxfordshire (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)Contract Length: 12 months Start: ASAP Salary:  around £85,000 - £90,000 + bensWe are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a group-wide Dynamics 365 Finance transformation. You will oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, working closely with an external Systems Integrator, the finance team, senior leadership, and a team of four finance project accountants. A strong understanding of D365 and a solid accounting background are essential.   Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Dynamics 365 Finance enhancements, ensuring timelines, scope, and budget are met.
  • Maintain project plans, timelines, RAID logs, and SteerCo reporting.
  • Coordinate internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
  • Run project meetings, workshops, and steering committees.
Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary link between finance, the SI partner, the internal ERP team, and wider stakeholders.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership.
  • Ensure alignment between business requirements, solution design, and finance processes.
ERP Functional Expertise
  • Work with finance SMEs and consultants to validate solution design and ensure D365 Finance modules meet business needs.
  • Support process mapping, data migration, testing, and change impact activities.
  • Oversee UAT, training, and deployment readiness.
Risk, Compliance & Quality
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, escalating where needed.
  • Ensure governance, documentation, and quality standards are met.
  • Support cutover planning, go-live preparation, and post-launch hypercare.
  What We’re Looking For Required
  • Proven experience in PMO or project management roles.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash & Bank, Reporting).
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA).
  • Experience working with Systems Integrators and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
  • Experience in business transformation or process re-engineering.
  • Knowledge of data migration, integrations, and finance system testing.
  • Background in multi-entity or international organisations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, resilient, and proactive.
