Our Client A leading, fast-growing technology company based in Reading, developing cutting-edge digital solutions that are transforming industries across the UK and beyond.
The Role As Financial Accountant, you’ll play a key role in managing the financial health of the business, ensuring accuracy in reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering insights to support strategic decision-making. You’ll work closely with the Financial Controller and wider leadership team in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Main Duties: - Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and financial statements in compliance with IFRS, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Lead the year-end statutory reporting process and coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit delivery
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain robust financial controls across all entities
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with corporation tax compliance, working with external advisors as needed
- Support financial systems improvements, cash flow forecasting, and provide technical accounting input on areas such as IFRS 15 (Revenue) and IFRS 16 (Leases)
The Successful Candidate: - Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- 1–2+ years post-qualified experience, ideally in industry or from a practice background with relevant sector exposure
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
- Proficient in Excel and accounting software (e.g. NetSuite, Xero, Sage Intacct)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
What’s on Offer:
- A salary of £55,000 to £65,000
