As Interim Legal Counsel, you will join a growing legal team and support the Chief Legal Officer on a wide range of international commercial matters. Your responsibilities will include:
Commercial Contracts & Legal Operations - Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of agreements, including framework, master services, SaaS/cloud, licensing, professional services, partner, supplier, NDA, and inbound IT agreements in Europe
- Advising on data protection laws and negotiating Data Processing Agreements in Europe.
- Managing complex, non-standard and strategic contract negotiations.
- Driving standardisation of legal documentation across multiple jurisdictions.
- Improving contracting processes, templates, and workflows to support high-volume transactions.
- Maintaining and developing contract templates, playbooks, and policies in line with legal and market developments.
- Providing legal training and supporting policy development for internal stakeholders (e.g. finance, compliance).
Intellectual Property & Artificial Intelligence - Advising on intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
- Supporting the management, protection, and enforcement of the company’s IP portfolio.
- Interpreting and advising on AI-related laws and their impact on the business.
- Collaborating cross-functionally to develop processes for AI adoption and governance.
- Advising on compliance requirements relating to AI technologies and negotiating AI-related contractual terms.
Candidate Profile - Qualified solicitor
- Minimum of 5 years’ post-qualification experience, in-house exposure.
- Strong background in commercial contracts and data privacy within a European multinational SaaS environment.
- Additional European language skills required (French)
