HCM Data Migration Officer
Fixed-Term Contract (12 months)
Location: Shepherd's Bush, West London (on-site 2-3 days per week)
Salary: £30,000 - £37,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Working Pattern: Full time, 9:00am - 5:30pm
About the opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a purpose-driven not-for-profit organisation that is delivering a significant HR & Payroll transformation. As part of the implementation of a new HCM system, they are seeking an experienced HCM Data Migration Officer to support this critical programme of change.
About the role
Reporting to the HCM Functional Lead, the HCM Data Migration Officer will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and secure migration of HR and payroll data from legacy systems into the new HCM platform. You will work closely with HR, technology teams, third-party suppliers, and a dedicated project team to deliver high-quality data outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience of HR system data migration who is detail-focused, analytical, and confident working in a complex change environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end HR and payroll data migration activities
- Cleanse, map, validate, and test complex datasets
- Act as the subject matter expert for data migration processes
- Identify data risks and resolve issues proactively
- Perform pre- and post-migration data quality checks
- Support system testing and troubleshooting during migration phases
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Essential experience and skills
- Proven experience delivering HR/HCM data migration projects
- Strong operational knowledge of HR and payroll data
- Experience with data mapping, cleansing, and validation
- Confident using Excel and/or SQL and familiar with ETL processes
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Desirable experience
- Experience with Midland iTrent and/or CezanneHR
- Experience working with third-party system providers
