Lead a Business-Critical Technology Transformation

We're recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing UK manufacturing business undertaking a significant modernisation of its technology landscape.

This role isn't about delivering a single project and then moving on. Instead, you'll become a key member of the IT function, helping shape technology strategy, drive business change, and support long-term growth plans.

The first major programme will centre on the organisation's future ERP strategy. A strategic direction is emerging, but the critical build-versus-buy decision remains open. You will own the project journey, working with stakeholders across the business to define requirements, evaluate options, develop the business case, and lead delivery planning.

Looking ahead, the role will expand into broader application transformation initiatives and, potentially, technology integration projects tied to future growth and acquisitions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading business-critical technology and change projects from inception through to delivery.
• Gathering and validating business requirements with stakeholders at all levels.
• Developing project plans, governance structures, and reporting mechanisms.
• Managing third-party suppliers and implementation partners.
• Identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities across programmes.
• Driving clarity, accountability, and visibility around project delivery.
• Supporting technology evaluation and business case development.
• Helping shape the future technology roadmap of a growing organisation.

What Success Looks Like

In your first few months, you'll establish structure, visibility, and momentum across key initiatives by:

• Creating clear ownership, timelines, and priorities across project activities.
• Building a strong understanding of how the business operates.
• Developing trusted relationships with leadership, operational teams, and suppliers.
• Bringing clarity and confidence to strategic technology decisions.

You'll be an experienced Project Manager who enjoys operating in an environment where you can make a genuine impact rather than simply administer established processes.

You'll likely bring:

• Proven experience delivering technology, ERP, business systems, or transformation projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• The ability to combine project management discipline with business analysis capability.
• Experience working with external vendors and third parties.
• A proactive, commercially aware approach to problem-solving.
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, distribution, logistics, or another operationally focused environment would be highly advantageous.

• Salary up to £55,000
