Location: Remote (UK / Ireland / Netherlands / Sweden)

Salary: £102K – £116K base (OTE £145K – £165K) + equity

The Opportunity

Our client is building a category-defining platform in the cloud data ecosystem, helping companies optimise and control spend across Snowflake, Databricks, and other modern data platforms.

They’re looking for a Solutions Engineer to act as the technical authority across the sales cycle — owning discovery, leading Proof of Value engagements, and ensuring customers clearly understand and realise the impact of the platform.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing role where you’ll operate at the intersection of engineering, data, and commercial strategy.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead technical discovery with prospects, understanding their data architecture, cost challenges, and business objectives
  • Own and run Proof of Value (POV) engagements end-to-end, ensuring strong technical validation
  • Deliver tailored product demos aligned to real customer use cases
  • Build compelling business cases and ROI narratives tied to cost savings and performance improvements
  • Act as the technical lead throughout the sales cycle, owning the “technical win”
  • Partner closely with Account Executives on deal strategy and progression
  • Translate customer feedback into structured insights for Product and Engineering
  • Represent the business at events, conferences, and technical forums
  • What They’re Looking For

    • 6–10 years experience in a pre-sales / Solutions Engineering role within B2B SaaS
    • Strong experience with cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery)
    • Proven ability to lead POVs / technical evaluations and drive deals forward
    • Strong commercial awareness — able to tie technical solutions to business outcomes
    • Excellent communication skills — able to engage both engineers and executives
    • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
