IT Project Delivery Team Lead

Our rapidly growing software client based in Cullompton are looking for a Project Delivery Team Lead to join their team, this is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the office.

The IT Project Delivery Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of IT projects from initiation through to completion. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, while coordinating cross-functional teams, managing risks, and maintaining delivery standards. The Team Lead promotes collaboration, drives continuous improvement, and ensures alignment with business objectives.

IT Project Delivery Team Lead Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Project Management: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and tools for planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Technical Expertise: Ability to provide technical leadership, understand IT architecture, and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Risk and Issue Management: Proficient in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and issues.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Capability to lead, motivate, and coordinate cross-functional teams towards common objectives.
  • Professional Certification in Project Management such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP (Project Management Professional), or Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, AgilePM).
  • Technical certification such as Microsoft Certified: Expert/MCSE or equivalent
  • Proven experience leading the end-to-end delivery of IT projects, including planning, execution, and closure.
  • Experience working with Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
  • Experience in technical leadership, providing guidance on architecture, design, and solution implementation.
  • Track record of managing project budgets, resources, and schedules effectively.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, including working with senior business and technical leaders.
  • Strong background in risk identification, mitigation, and issue resolution within projects.
  • Previous involvement in project scoping, requirements gathering, and business case development.
