Freight Forwarding Apprentice
This a great opportunity for a motivated person to learn the increasingly complex skills required to organise international trade flows. Focused on antiques and fine art sectors transporting high value items.
Role
The key functions will be the booking of courier shipments, with the correct required documentation, following up those shipments as they move to delivery and dealing with the issues the occur.
You will review any duty charges raised by the customs authorities and take the required action to deal with these charges.
You will provide the appropriate range of service in other areas dealing with customer as and when appropriate.
This apprenticeship offers a great opportunity for a motivated person to learn the increasingly complex skills required to organise international trade flows. We are focused on the antiques and fine art sectors transporting high value items.
There will also be the opportunity to learn all of the other services offered by the Global Mail Boxes Etc Franchise, providing a fantastic introduction to general business functions.
Training
- On the job training delivered by the employer
Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end point assessment - For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeships English and mathematics minimum requirement is Entry Level 3
- Allocation of an apprenticeship delivery coach who will carry out regular training
- Assessment and support visits to ensure you acquire new learning, knowledge skills and behaviours in order to progress and develop
- Identify, track and support 6 hours off the job training activities
Quarterly formal progress review meetings, identifying learning achievements and next steps
