Client Director – Public Sector, Local Government & Housing

UK Hybrid (Peterborough 2 days per week)

We are partnering with a market-leading social impact organisation that helps public sector bodies, housing providers and charities deliver financial support, crisis assistance and community resilience programmes to people who need them most.

The organisation already works with many leading public bodies and is now investing in a new generation of strategic partnerships across Local Government, Housing Associations, Combined Authorities and wider public sector organisations.

As a result, we are seeking a commercially minded Client Director to identify, develop and grow long-term partnerships across the sector .

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional sales

role.Success will come from understanding how local authorities, housing providers and public bodies operate, where funding originates, what challenges organisations face, and how to position innovative services that deliver measurable outcomes.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing strategic relationships across Local Government, Housing and wider Public Sector organisations
  • Identifying emerging funding streams, policy initiatives and partnership opportunities
  • Building a robust pipeline of new opportunities
  • Leading complex bids, tenders and framework opportunities
  • Growing existing client relationships into larger, multi-year partnerships
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders including Directors, Chief Executives and Heads of Service
  • Helping organisations improve outcomes for vulnerable residents through innovative service delivery models

What We're Looking For

  • You may currently be working as a:
  • Client Director
  • Business DevelopmentDirector
  • Strategic Partnerships Director
  • Account Director
  • Public Sector Director
  • Growth Director

Most importantly, you will have:

  • Experience selling services, solutions, managed services or platforms into Local Government, Housing Associations or wider Public Sector organisations
  • Strong understanding of public sector funding, procurement and policy environments
  • Experience winning complex tenders, frameworks or multi-year service contracts
  • Established networks within Local Government, Housing or Central Government
  • Ability to engage credibly at Director and Executive level
  • A consultative and strategic approach to business development
