What are we looking for?
MalloyAeronauticsislookingforaPCBTestEngineer to join our Electronics Manufacturing team. We are seeking a detail-oriented engineer or technician with experience in PCB and electronic assembly testing who enjoyshands-onworkandtakesprideindeliveringhigh-qualityproducts.Thisroleisidealforsomeonewhothrivesinafast-pacedenvironmentandispassionateaboutmaintainingthehigheststandardsofqualityandreliability.
Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK
What you’ll be doing (but not limited to):
Testprintedcircuitboards(PCBs)andelectronicassembliesforinstallationinourunmannedaerialvehicles.
Performfunctionalanddiagnostictestingagainstdefinedspecificationsandacceptancecriteria.
Identify,investigateandreporttestfailures,supportingrootcauseanalysisandcorrectiveactions.
Carryoutcomponentandassemblytestinginaccordancewithqualityassuranceprocedures.
Inspectassembliesfordefects,includingcomponentplacement,orientationandworkmanshipissues.
Usehandtools,testequipmentandmeasuringdevicessafelyandeffectively.
Maintainaccuratetestrecordsandsupportcontinuousimprovementactivities.
Assistwithtrainingandsupportingotherteammembersasrequired..
Essential Skills and Experiences:
PreviousexperiencetestingPCBsandelectronicassemblies.
Abilitytointerpretandfollowtestproceduresandworkinstructions.
UnderstandingofelectroniccomponentsandPCBassemblyprocesses.
Abilitytoidentifyandcorrectcomponentplacementandorientationissues.
Strongattentiontodetailandmanualdexterity.
Goodproblem-solvingandfault-findingskills.
Abilitytoworkindependentlyandaspartofateam.
Adaptableandflexible,withtheabilitytoworkinafast-pacedenvironment.
Desired Skills and Experiences
PreviousexperienceasaTestEngineer,ElectronicsTechnicianorsimilarrole.
Experienceusingelectronictestequipmentsuchasoscilloscopes,multimetersandpowersupplies.
KnowledgeofIPCstandardsandelectronicmanufacturingprocesses.
Experiencesupportingrootcauseinvestigationsandprocessimprovements.
ProficiencyinMicrosoftOfficeapplications.
GoodawarenessofHealth&Safetyrequirementswithinanengineeringormanufacturingenvironment.
Experienceworkingwithinaregulatedorhigh-reliabilityindustrysuchasaerospace,defenceorautomotive.
