Business Intelligence Manager

Job summary

The post holder will support the Head of Analytics and Insights in providing management and leadership to the Analytics and Insights function. The post holder will provide data, reporting andanalytics to stakeholders across the Trust. This will support the delivery of clinical and operational services and also corporate statutory reporting requirements. The post holder will provide expert technical support to stakeholders on NHS data standards and guidance.

The postholder will provide line management responsibility to the Principal Analyst team and play a key role in ensuring the different functions and services within the department are collaborating in an effective and productive way. The post holder will ensure the data and reporting that is produced across Information Services as well as the Analytics and Insights team has been assured and is accurate and produced in a timely fashion.

Main duties of the job

Responsibility to produce analytics and insights to support the Trust in its delivery and transformation of core clinical services.

Responsibility for delivering key programmes of work in the Trust such as activity planning, performance improvement and the Trusts Transformation programme.

Responsibility for the planning, organisation, implementation and embedding of reporting and dashboards across the Trust; facilitating the effective delivery and effective utilisation of complex business intelligence through new or enhanced digital reporting products.Responsibility for delivering analytics, insights and reporting to key programmes of work and colleagues from across the Trust.

Responsibility for driving forward a data analytics and insights programme across all analysts andfunctions within the Information Services department.

Experience

Essential
  • Masters Degree or equivalent or relevant experience
  • Post Graduate degree or equivalent level of experience with Informatics
  • Management Qualification or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of Personal Developmen
Desirable
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in an IT related subject

Experience / Knowledge

Essential
  • Specialist understanding and application of how information and data analysis is utilised to drive intelligence led decisionmaking in complex organisations

  • Ability to communicate a range of Informatics issues which can be complex and multi-stranded
  • Ability to make judgements on multi-stranded or complex Informatics problems which may have no precedent or where there are conflicting opinions
