Quality Assurance Engineer (Stevenage)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Engineering professional to join the Product Assurance Equipment Engineering team supporting a variety of Electronic Equipment’s in Development.
Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer
Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on experience
Location: Hertfordshire (Relocation package may be available)
Dynamic (Hybrid) Working: 3 days per week on-site, based on workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
The Role:
- Review, contribute to, and maintain equipment quality planning documentation.
- Ensure continued compliance with defined engineering procedures and standards.
- Support planning and execution of product life cycle reviews, ensuring appropriate management of resulting actions.
- Manage and facilitate non-conformance processes, including defect investigation support and analysis/reporting of non-conformance data to senior stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate quality risks related to in-house developed equipment.
- Contribute to process improvements, participate in local audits, and generate recommendations to enhance compliance and efficiency.
- Deliver micro-training sessions to raise quality awareness and improve process understanding across the engineering team.

What We're Looking For:
- A minimum of HNC/HND in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or significant relevant experience in a similar role.
- A background in Quality Assurance, ideally within an electronic engineering environment.
- Hands-on experience with modern quality tools and methodologies (e.g., 8D, RCA, DMAIC).
- Good understanding of the product lifecycle, particularly in the development phase.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience in tools such as Excel, SAP QM, and document control systems.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to drive quality enhancements independently.
