Senior Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability
  • Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls
  • Perform network upgrades, patches, and capacity planning
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and diagrams
  • Collaborate with systems, security, and cloud teams to support IT initiatives
  • Provide tier 2/3 network support and participate in on-call rotations as required
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering or network administration
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching
  • Hands-on experience with networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet)
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Understanding of network security principles and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN, VoIP, or wireless networking
  • Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, Ansible)
  • Experience in high-availability or enterprise-scale environments
