System Engineer

Job Title: Systems Engineer

Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)

Location: Bristol or Stevenage

Hybrid Working: On average 2–3 days per week on-site (subject to business needs)

Security Clearance Requirement: British Citizen or Dual Citizenship

Overview:

We’re looking for a talented Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team developing cutting-edge Electro-Optical (EO) technologies for complex Defence applications. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform requirements analysis and system architecture design
• Conduct trade studies and support design decisions
• Engage in system proving, design assurance and certification
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams and with external partners
• Contribute to innovative research and development projects

Desirable (but not essential):

• Understanding of Electro-Optical systems or imaging sensors
• Experience in the Defence, aerospace or high-integrity industries
• Familiarity with SysML and tools such as IBM DOORS Next, Rhapsody
• Experience with Agile frameworks
• Exposure to missile technologies (e.g. guidance, propulsion, navigation)
