Systems Engineer - Data Links

Join a leading Defence systems design team and take the lead in delivering cutting-edge Data Link electronics. You will work across multiple programmes, including Ground-Based Air Defence, Deep Strike, and Air Dominance, guiding projects from concept through to in-service deployment. This role offers the opportunity to shape and grow both the team and your own technical expertise while driving transformation in complex systems engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead system design activities in collaboration with subject-matter experts
• Develop and implement verification and validation strategies for electrical, mechanical, software, and transversal properties
• Support system certification by providing assurance evidence to facilitate equipment delivery
• Lead technical trade studies and manage engineering work packages
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and SMEs to deliver value outcomes

What We're Looking For:

• Strong systems engineering experience, ideally with complex hardware, firmware, and software systems
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering / SysML and tools such as IBM DOORS and Rhapsody
• Ability to manage engineering work packages and coordinate with multiple teams
• Willingness to develop technical knowledge and improve systems engineering methods
• Understanding of RF systems, electronics, configuration control systems, and lifecycle phases is desirable

• Salary: Up to 50,000 depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits
