About the Role:

This role is based in Bristol and offers hybrid working flexibility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in FPGA design and development, with a strong preference for those familiar with CEMA (Communications, Electronics, and Microwave Applications).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test FPGA-based solutions for advanced defense and aerospace systems.

  • Collaborate closely with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration and system performance.

  • Develop and review technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans.

  • Perform FPGA code reviews, verification, and validation activities.

  • Support system troubleshooting and provide technical expertise during project phases.

  • Work within project timelines to deliver high-quality solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven FPGA development experience, preferably using VHDL or Verilog.

  • Practical experience with FPGA toolchains (Xilinx, Intel/Altera, etc.).

  • Knowledge of CEMA technologies is highly desirable.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Previous experience in defense, aerospace, or related sectors is a plus.
