Account Executive

Mantell Associates is partnered with a forward-thinking technology company specialising in AI-driven solutions for digital pathology and medical imaging, who is seeking an ambitious and commercially savvy Account Executive to join its UK commercial team.

This role is ideal for a sales professional with experience in health tech, life sciences, or software as a service (SaaS) solutions with a passion for transformative AI in healthcare.

Account Executive - Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to accelerate adoption of the company's AI digital pathology and medical imaging platform across hospitals, laboratories, diagnostic networks, and academic institutions
  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities within assigned territories, driving pipeline growth and closing new accounts
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clinical and technical stakeholders - including pathologists, lab directors, CIOs, IT decision-makers and procurement leads
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations and articulate the value proposition of AI-powered pathology and imaging solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and diagnostic outcomes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Product) to tailor proposals, align on technical fit, and accelerate deal progression
  • Track and forecast sales activity, maintaining accurate CRM data and delivering timely reports to commercial leadership
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, medical forums, and customer events to enhance brand visibility and generate new leads
  • Provide customer insights and feedback to help influence future product enhancements and commercial strategies

Account Executive - Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development - preferably in healthcare technology, AI solutions, medical imaging, digital health, or pathology software
  • Proven track record of closing enterprise or mid-market deals and exceeding sales targets in technology or SaaS environments
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage both clinical and commercial audiences
  • Understanding of the healthcare landscape in the UK and Europe, including NHS systems, independent diagnostics, and research institutions
  • Proactive self-starter with excellent organisational skills, a consultative sales approach, and ability to work independently in a hybrid setting
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales tools; familiar with forecasting and pipeline management
  • Based in the UK, with flexibility for regional travel and on-site client engagement
