Receptionist / Administrator Apprentice
This is an opportunity for someone motivated and passionate about working with families and young children, someone with good people skills who is keen to work in different locations, in both of our Maintained Nursery Schools in the Acton Early Years Federation.
Role
The post holder will be working in the main reception area the best part of their hours and will be expected to have good customer service skills, be able to provide a friendly, efficient, welcoming and professional service to children, their families and all visitors, whilst ensuring the correct procedures are followed regarding entry to the building in order to maintain the security and integrity of the services provided.
In addition to performing the receptionist function, the apprentice will also be required to provide administrative and IT support, filing, data entry, shredding of confidential documents, answering emails and dealing with general enquiries from both visitors and staff. There will also be opportunities for working on the SIMS and FMS programs, Synergy and Parentmail portals, as well as working closely with our website host and maintaining the school’s website.
The apprentice may be requested to work some days at Maples Nursery School and some days at South Acton Children’s Centre every week, which will be discussed and arranged at the beginning of the apprenticeship.
