Financial Director
Our client is a global market-leading PE backed SaaS experiencing rapid international expansion, the business is entering an exciting new phase of growth. They are seeking a Finance Director to help build and lead a best-in-class global finance function, supporting strategic decision-making and long-term scalability. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial infrastructure of a dynamic, data-driven organisation with a strong international footprint.
Reporting to the CFO and working closely with senior leadership and investors, the VP of Finance will be responsible for building robust financial foundations to support ongoing global growth.
You will drive financial clarity, enhance operational efficiency, and bring insightful, data-led decision support across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Own and elevate the financial planning capability to a true strategic partner for the business. Lead the end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles, moving beyond standard reporting to deliver forward-looking, data-driven insight. Provide clear, actionable analysis that shapes key commercial, operational, and investment decisions, ensuring the business can scale with confidence and clarity.
Reporting & Governance
- Establish a best-in-class reporting and governance framework that delivers transparency, accuracy, and trust at every level of the organisation. Oversee the creation of high-quality management information, board reporting, and investor communications, ensuring they tell a compelling and insightful financial story. Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and governance processes across multiple jurisdictions, balancing rigour with agility in a fast-moving environment.
Tax & Structuring
- Lead the development of an efficient and scalable global tax strategy aligned with the company’s growth ambitions. Oversee tax compliance across jurisdictions, while proactively managing transfer pricing and cross-border structuring to optimise outcomes. Act as a key partner to external advisors, ensuring the business remains compliant, well-structured, and prepared for future expansion, investment, and potential exit scenarios.
Systems & Data
- Drive the transformation of finance into a modern, technology-enabled function. Lead the selection, implementation, and optimisation of scalable finance systems, embedding automation and standardisation to improve efficiency and accuracy. Champion the use of data and analytics to provide real-time visibility and empower decision-making, ensuring finance becomes a source of insight rather than just reporting.
Treasury & Cash Management
- Build a proactive and resilient treasury function that supports both day-to-day operations and long-term growth. Oversee cash flow forecasting and liquidity planning, optimise working capital, and manage banking relationships globally. Develop strategies to effectively manage currency exposure and financial risk, ensuring the business is well-positioned to operate and expand across international markets.
Leadership
- Build, inspire, and lead a high-performing global finance team capable of supporting a scaling international business. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and commercial partnership. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across the organisation, influencing decision-making and aligning finance closely with the broader strategic agenda.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role (VP Finance, Finance Director, Head of Finance or similar)
- Demonstrated success in scaling finance functions within high-growth or transformational environments
- Experience with a PE backed SaaS business (ideally with exit experience)
- Exposure to multi-jurisdictional environments, ideally including the UK and US
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
