Settlements operations specialist (Equity)

A leading financial institution with a strong global presence is seeking a Settlements Associate to join their Desk.

This role involves managing collateral within the Global Equity Finance team.

Length of contract: 12-month + (with a strong possibility for extension)

Day rate: £350 - £400 per day (inside IR35)

Location: City of London (Hybrid role 1-2 days in the office)

Overview of role:

The role involves managing settlement duties within the Equity Operations area. To ensure that settlements are smooth and efficient, and that exposure is managed effectively. Products covered are mainly Equities.

Skills:

• Previous experience in a similar role with relevant product-related experience (Equities, ADRs, ETFs, FX & Swaps).
• Experience with the Back Office system Gloss from Broadbridge
• Experience in cash equities instruments
• Experience from sell-side firms (executing brokers, familiar with fast fast-paced environment facing 200 clients per day)
• Business knowledge in the Finance/Banking industry.
• Knowledge of equity finance transactions is required.
• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a numerate subject.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels, including the sales desk and counterparties.
• Experience in Stock borrowing is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
