Accounts & Business Support Administrator

The Role

We’re looking for an Accounts & Business Support Administrator to run the administrative engine of the business.

This is a core, trusted role in the business, responsible for running the day-to-day administration and accounts engine, requiring confidence, assertiveness, and a strong sense of ownership.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role with a strong emphasis on bookkeeping and accounts administration, alongside sales admin, HR administration, and office support. You’ll play a key part in keeping financial records accurate, commercial processes flowing, and internal admin organised, allowing our Service Delivery team and leadership to stay focused on delivery and growth.

This role does not involve operational decision-making, service scheduling, or financial judgement. It is about accuracy, consistency, and follow-through.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts & Bookkeeping (Primary Focus)
  • Day-to-day bookkeeping and accounts administration
  • Processing and coding transactions accurately
  • Preparing invoices and responding to invoice queries
  • Managing supplier invoices and purchase orders
  • Keeping accounting systems up to date and audit-ready
  • Preparing information for review by the Finance Manager
Sales Administration
  • Managing incoming sales and order enquiries
  • Preparing and processing sales orders
  • Liaising with suppliers for pricing, ordering, RMAs, and warranties
  • Registering warranties and maintaining accurate records
  • Updating CRM/PSA systems with factual order and delivery information
Ticket & Information Hygiene
  • Updating tickets with factual status updates (e.g. parts ordered, parts received)
  • Attaching supplier confirmations, delivery notes, and warranty details
  • Ensuring tickets are information-complete before handoff to Service Delivery
  • No scheduling, prioritisation, or technical decision-making
HR & People Administration (Non-judgemental)
  • Maintaining employee records in HR systems
  • Sending contracts via Docusign
  • Ordering DBS and DISC checks
  • Pension portal administration
  • Tracking holidays and probation milestones
  • Preparing HR updates for review
  • (HR advice, policy, and decisions remain externally supported)
Office Administration
  • Managing office supplies, post, and deliveries
  • Supporting general office organisation and admin tasks
  • Coordinating Health & Safety administration, including maintaining records, managing renewals, logging incidents, and supporting compliance activities
  • (HSE policy, compliance ownership, and risk remain leadership-owned)
What This Role Is Not
  • Not a finance or financial decision-making role
  • Not responsible for service delivery or engineer scheduling
  • Not an HR advisory or disciplinary role
  • Not a sales or target-carrying position
About You
  • 2+ years’ experience in accounts, bookkeeping, sales admin, or business support
  • Strong attention to detail and process discipline
  • Confident with Microsoft 365 and Excel
  • Experience using accounting or bookkeeping software
  • Clear communicator, comfortable working independently
  • Reliable, organised, and methodical
Contract & Salary
  • Full-time: 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5pm
  • Salary: £27,000 per annum
  • Employer pension contribution
  • 21 days holiday (plus 1 day for your birthday) plus bank holidays
