Role: Technical Delivery Lead

Location: Farringdon London, Hybrid 3 days onsite 2 days remote

12 Months contract with possible renewal

This role is required to lead the technical transformation and delivery of the Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting platform working with the engineering teams, operations partners and third-party vendors. This is not a project management role. It is a technical delivery role so requires understanding of software development and technology platform migration.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for technology delivery of the platform migration project from pre-project to implementation
  • Responsible for Leading multiple delivery streams to deliver successful project outcomes
  • Plan, track and manage budgets & resources
  • Vendor management SOWs, budgets, invoice approvals, resource onboarding /offboarding and governance through regular governance meetings
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to team
  • Partnering with business stakeholders, architects to understand business requirements and low-level technical design
  • Plan, manage, track delivery through a combination of agile tools and traditional planning tools where required to ensure overall delivery across all streams are sequenced and tracked
  • Ensure risks are pro-actively managed and highlighted in right forums to seek support for resolution
  • Deliver project in guidance and adherence to Banks software delivery, security, release management standard & guidelines.
  • Ensure all deliverables, checkpoints are planned and delivered to meet the banks standards and quality gates
  • Pro-active planning on development dependencies and plan and track them to closure
  • Ensure quality standards are built into the development phase with a quality first approach
  • Measure and monitor progress and quality using data-oriented approach
  • Participate in scrum of scrums and cross stream meetings to discuss, highlight dependencies across systems.
  • Conduct regular checkpoints (daily scrums , weekly project meetings) and track actions to closure
  • Put in change management processes to manage and deliver agreed business outcomes
  • During test phases, actively drive defect fixes to meet SLAs. measure and manage defect density, re-open rates
  • Promote a culture of inclusiveness and have active participation from the team during team meetings and standups.
  • identify areas of improvement from each sprint and work towards continuous improvement to improve sprint velocity and quality

Requirements

  • 12+ yrs SDLC experience with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in managing large scale projects & building applications from scratch using APIs, data marts and cloud-based products.
  • Strong project / program management skills.
  • Should have prior experience in managing virtual teams in onsite/offshore model.
  • Should have a development background and the right level of experience and expertise to coach and design, plan and deliver complex applications.
  • Agile execution expertise.
  • Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines.
  • Own overall delivery and drive teams velocity.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Go-getter with a keen focus on delivery.

Desired Qualifications

  • Regulatory reporting experience with
  • Regulations like Dodd Frank, CFTC, MIFID I and II, HKMA, MAS, ESMA/EMIR
  • Listed and OTC derivative and cash products across asset classes
  • Working with GTRs like DTCC, ICE, ARM/APAs like UnaVista, TRADEcho
  • Experience as a full stack developer.
  • Data modelling and development experience.
  • Database experience - SQL, MSSQL, Oracle and NoSQL
  • Caching Technologies like Redis
  • Cloud development/migration experience
  • Python
  • TDD development
  • Hands on experience with Testing (Playwright and ALM Octane), Test Automation
  • Hands on experience with Messaging Queue Technology (Kafka, MQ)
