Account Executive - Financial Services (PE or IB focus)

Salary: £130-150,000 base – £260-300,000+ OTE (Uncapped) + Equity
The opportunity
Our client is a successful, high-growth technology scale-up that is transforming how elite financial institutions manage and leverage critical information. Having seen exceptional revenue growth over the past year, they are now looking for high-calibre Account Executives to lead their expansion into two core verticals: Private Equity and Investment Banking.
This is not a role for someone looking to inherit a settled playbook. You will be responsible for defining the go-to-market motion for these high-value segments, selling a solution that is already delivering significant operational efficiencies for early adopters.

What you will be doing
- Hunting and closing: Identifying and winning new logos across either the private equity or investment banking sectors.
- Strategic account planning: Mapping complex organisations, identifying entry points across business and technology lines, and building long-term stakeholder relationships.
- Consultative selling: Running deep discovery and bespoke demos that translate platform capabilities into the specific language of high-value financial transactions and strategic decision-making.
- Navigating procurement: Leading prospects through complex security reviews, data residency requirements, and firm-wide rollout planning.
- Defining the motion: Creating repeatable sales plays, collateral, and competitive positioning for your specific vertical.
What we are looking for
Our client is open to two distinct professional backgrounds for these roles:
The enterprise SaaS specialist
- You have over 5 years of experience in a closing role, selling SaaS or information services into private equity firms or investment banks.
- You have a proven track record of hitting and exceeding quotas with six or seven-figure deal sizes.
The industry professional with commercial instincts
- You have worked in investment banking or private equity at a mid-to-senior level and have moved into a commercial, business development, or partnership role.
- You understand the internal politics, workflows, and pain points of deal teams because you have experienced them first-hand.
