D365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant

D365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant | Outside IR35 | £800/day | UK-Based | Regular Travel to London & Paris | French Speaking

We're supporting a major international finance transformation programme and are looking for an experienced D365 Finance Functional Consultant to play a key role in the assessment, design, and planning phases of a large-scale ERP transformation.

This is an opportunity to work directly with business and programme stakeholders to help define future-state finance processes, shape solution design, and support the development of a global D365 Finance strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate finance process discovery and requirements workshops
• Analyse and document current-state and future-state processes
• Lead functional design discussions across finance workstreams
• Support Global Chart of Accounts alignment and design
• Define and optimise financial dimensions and reporting structures
• Provide D365 Finance best practice guidance
• Perform fit-gap analysis and solution recommendations
• Collaborate with architecture, integration, and programme teams
• Support business case development and implementation planning
• Engage with senior finance stakeholders throughout the programme lifecycle

Essential Experience

• Strong experience delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations projects
• Deep understanding of finance processes and controls
• Experience leading workshops and gathering business requirements
• Proven ability to translate business needs into functional solutions
• Previous involvement in finance transformation programmes
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent French and English

Desirable Experience

• Multi-country or global D365 deployments
• Retail, manufacturing, or distribution environments
• Integration work involving third-party systems
• Experience supporting ERP strategy or operating model design

Contract Details

• Location: UK-based
• Travel: Regular monthly travel to London and Paris
• Start Date: September
• Duration: Initial contract through to January 2027, with likely extension
• Day Rate: Circa £800 per day
• IR35 Status: Outside IR35
