Network Security Specialist

We’re hiring an experienced Network & Security Engineer to design, implement and operate the network and security estate that protects critical business services. You’ll provide technical leadership, drive secure networking design and deliver operational resilience across a global environment.

What you’ll deliver (outcomes & impact)

• Lead design and implementation of secure networking capabilities aligned to Zero Trust and micro‐segmentation principles.
• Own day‐to‐day operation and pro‐active maintenance of network and security hardware, applications and services.
• Drive resilience and availability: troubleshoot incidents, respond to major incidents, and implement changes with minimal business disruption.
• Influence architecture and automation decisions to reduce risk and operational overhead.
• Maintain strong operational governance: runbooks, test plans, change documentation, and audit/control routines.
• Provide technical leadership within an Agile team and contribute to continuous improvement.

Core technical requirements (must‐have)

• Proven hands‐on experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama in a global environment. PCNSE, PCCSE or equivalent experience.
• Cisco CCNP or equivalent experience; strong OSPF and BGP knowledge.
• Azure networking experience (AZ‐700 or equivalent).
• Experience implementing Zero Trust and micro‐segmentation.
• Packet analysis skills (Wireshark or similar) and experience with DDoS mitigation.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor (or similar).
• Experience with Cisco ISE / NAC solutions.
• Working knowledge of connectivity technologies: DIA, MPLS, DWDM.
• Experience with Cisco and Meraki wireless platforms.
• Participation in an on‐call rota and incident response.

Desirable

• Network automation experience.
• Prior exposure to global multi‐site environments and large‐scale security programmes.
• Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
