Platform Engineer - Databases

Your new organisation is a globally recognised technology consultancy business who pride themselves on their people orientated approach to deliver a range of outstanding services to their various clients. The business is looking to appoint a Platform Engineer focused on Databases as a result of a member of that team moving onto a new role.

In this role you will be primarily responsible for designing & automating a variety of database services to help enable the large developer function to utilise the data services efficiently. The position will be hands on and technical by nature but will also require a strategic approach, being mindful of how what you build and automate will impact the wider business.

In order to be successful in this position you must have significant Kubernetes experience including running stateful workflows, as well as excellent hands on experience with PostgreSQL in production. You will also have strong automation skills including IaC and tools such as Ansible & Terraform. You will also have the ability to be adaptable as the role with work with a variety of the businesses clients.
