Unified Communications Audio Visual Engineer
We’re hiring an experienced Unified Communications & Audio Visual Engineer to design, operate and evolve enterprise UC and AV services that deliver secure, resilient collaboration for end users, executives and trading environments. This is a hands-on role mixing UC engineering (Cisco CUCM, WebEx DI, Microsoft Teams, SIP/CUBE, voice recording, trader turrets) with meeting‐room and event AV support across a global, distributed estate.
Key responsibilities
- Lead design, configuration and support of the global UC estate to ensure availability, security and performance.
- Administer and troubleshoot Cisco CUCM (dial plans, routing, SIP integrations, upgrades) and related SIP gateway/CUBE infrastructure.
- Support WebEx Dedicated Instance, Microsoft Teams and their integrations into the wider UC framework.
- Manage voice recording platforms and trader turret systems to meet operational and regulatory requirements.
- Provide first- and second-line AV and meeting support: room setup, test calls, executive meetings, town halls and multi‐site conferencing.
- Troubleshoot AV platforms and room control systems (Crestron, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom, WebEx).
- Produce and maintain design docs, runbooks, test plans and change records; operate within Agile practices and on-call rotas.
- Collaborate with network, cyber/security teams to secure, compliant UC services.
Required skills & experience
- Proven experience administering Cisco CUCM (dial plans, call routing, SIP troubleshooting, upgrades).
- Strong Microsoft Teams skills (configuration, troubleshooting, integrations).
- Experience with WebEx Dedicated Instance and UC platform integrations.
- Familiarity with voice recording platforms (e.g. Redbox) and regulatory/compliance expectations.
- Experience supporting trader turret systems (e.g. IPC Dealerboards) is highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of SIP, CUBEs, VoIP, UC networking concepts and enterprise conferencing systems.
- Practical AV/meeting-room experience (Crestron, Teams Rooms, AV cabling, staging).
- Physical handling of equipment and providing hands‐on event support.
- Strong communicator, customer-focused, able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Unified Communications, AV support, or related collaboration technologies.
- Degree in Computer Science, IT or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Relevant certifications advantageous (CCNP Collaboration, Microsoft Teams, AV/UC vendor certs).
- Working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft Office and Outlook.
