VC Engineer (Video Conferencing)
Location: Our office is based just outside of Bath in Peasedown St John (BA2 8SG) but you will need to be able to travel around the country for installations
Pay: £33,000 - £40,000 per year

You will have experience in a high-tech environment, preferably in the business communications industry. We work with large SME’s and small corporate companies.
Its Hybrid role, which will need office days when required, site work across the country and working from home when suitable is an option.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and support video conferencing systems (Yealink, Logitech, Neat, Poly) at client sites across the UK
- Provide timely and effective resolution to support requests in line with internal and external SLAs
- Deliver technical assistance for VC hardware, software, and related applications, both remotely and onsite
- Perform hardware setup including mounting displays, soundbars, cameras, and cable routing
- Conduct site surveys, produce installation plans, and maintain accurate documentation
- Commission Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), Zoom Rooms, and SIP-based VC solutions
- Consult with manufacturer or supplier technical support when required to resolve complex issues
- Collaborate with colleagues to create and update technical documentation and knowledge bases
- Participate in proactive initiatives to reduce the need for reactive support
- Train end-users’ post-installation and ensure a smooth handover
- Maintain awareness of firmware updates, new product features, and best practices
- Adhere to project timelines, health & safety standards, and quality benchmarks
- Willingness to travel and stay away from home across the UK for project delivery and support
- And whilst the role is primarily for VC/AV we supply a variety of business solutions in voice/data/security and mobile which you will be exposed to and could widen to your skillset.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- 3+ years’ experience in AV or VC engineering roles
- Hands-on experience with VC systems, particularly Yealink, Logitech, Neat, and/or Poly
- Comfortable with structured cabling, mounting equipment, and network configuration
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), and Zoom Rooms
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to manage workloads independently and communicate clearly with clients
- Trades skillset for use of power tools. Drilling, mounting, cable installation and manual handling.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and stay away regularly
Desirable:
- Yealink Certified Deployment Engineer (YCDE) or equivalent vendor certifications
- Experience with control systems (e.g., Extron, Crestron, Q-SYS)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Admin Centre or Zoom Admin Portals
- Strong understanding of firewalls and networking for AV IP setups, AV over IP and SIP.
- CSCS or ECS certification
