We’re searching for a highly skilled Lead Data Analyst to take ownership of our client’s established Data Analytics team and drive the evolution of their data services offering.

This is a hands-on role working closely with clients on a diverse range of projects and data across marketing performance, sales, e-commerce, inventory and operations, using tools such as Power BI and Google Sheets to bring data to life in a way that’s intuitive, engaging and valuable to a diverse range of stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead & coach the Data Analytics team, supporting professional development, encouraging knowledge sharing, and maintaining a positive working environment.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor to understand business objectives, define KPIs, and translate challenges into effective reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Power BI Development & Insight Delivery: Design, build, and maintain intuitive & white-labelled Power BI dashboards & reports, presenting insights, recommendations, and reporting solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Data Integration, Modelling & Analytics: Extract, transform, and consolidate data from a variety of sources, building scalable data models and advanced DAX calculations to support KPI reporting, trend analysis, and business performance measurement.
  • Data Governance, Security & Compliance: Maintain and develop data governance standards, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, security, compliance, and the effective management of Power BI workspaces and Row-Level Security (RLS).
  • Data Quality Assurance: Monitor reporting environments, troubleshoot data issues, oversee scheduled refreshes, and ensure the highest standards of reporting accuracy across all client projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes, methodologies, and analytical capabilities, helping to shape and strengthen the overall data service offering.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Lead Data Analyst, Senior Data Analyst or similar is essential.
  • Leadership / Management experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing a team.
  • Experience working with marketing / eCommerce datasets is essential.
  • Experience working within a Marketing Agency, Digital Agency, or Marketing Consultancy is preferred.
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI Desktop & Service, Power Query (M), complex DAX, data modelling, workspace administration, and report deployment.
  • Strong SQL skills, with experience querying, transforming, and consolidating data from multiple data sources.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business insights for clients and colleagues.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, reporting accuracy, security, and best practice,
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with Google BigQuery, Azure, Python, R, or a broader understanding of business functions such as sales, inventory, operations, and financial KPI reporting would be highly advantageous.
