Salary: 70,000- 75,000 basic

Marmon Lift Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lift Technician / Technical Support Engineer. This role provides advanced technical support across service operations, including complex fault-finding, technical repairs and support for engineers in the field. The successful candidate will work independently while ensuring lift equipment remains safe, reliable and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults.
- Provide technical support to service, repair and installation engineers.
- Attend difficult breakdowns and recurring faults requiring specialist expertise.
- Carry out repairs, adjustments and component replacements.
- Test equipment following repairs and confirm safe return to service.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings and manufacturers' documentation.
- Identify defective components and recommend repairs or replacement.
- Provide technical guidance and on-site support to engineers.
- Complete job sheets, technical reports and customer documentation.
- Liaise professionally with customers, site contacts and engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with lift & escalator regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Travel throughout Liverpool, Merseyside and surrounding areas.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience as a Lift Technician, Senior Lift Engineer or Technical Support Engineer.
- NVQ Level 4 in Lift Engineering or equivalent.
- Advanced mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience resolving complex or recurring lift faults.
- Knowledge of passenger and goods lifts from multiple manufacturers.
- Experience within the UK lift and escalator industry.
- Confident interpreting wiring diagrams and technical documentation.
- Good knowledge of lift regulations and health & safety.
- Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently.
- Professional communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
