In House - Head of Legal - Healthcare Technology - 15+pqe - London - Hybrid

Marsden is exclusively instructed on a new Head of Legal role for our client ,a PE - backed Healthcare Technology business.

\n\n

This passion with purpose business, operates internationally across clinical diagnostics and software-led services. They work closely with regulated customers and public sector frameworks, and while mission-led, they are equally commercial in how they think and operate.

\n\n

In this role you will be a senior, high-impact member of the EMEA leadership team. You will be part of the decision making team at the centre of the business.

\n\n

The Role

\n\n

\n\t
• Go-to legal and commercial advisor to senior leadership

\n\t

• Managing a very small team – hands-on, collaborative, sleeves rolled up

\n\t

• Leading on complex commercial deals across customers, suppliers and partners

\n\t

• Driving improvements in contracting, processes and overall ways of working

\n\t

• Owning data protection and governance strategy (UK/EU GDPR)

\n\t

• Influencing commercial decisions, pricing and supplier strategy

\n\t

• Overseeing disputes, external counsel and key risk areas

\n\t

• Playing a role in AI / tech risk and broader business initiatives

\n\n\n

Skills Required

\n\n

\n\t
• 15+ years’ PQE

\n\t

• Strong commercial / technology lawyer

\n\t

• Significant in-house experience in an international / matrix environment

\n\t

• Comfortable being hands-on as well as strategic

\n\t

• Experience managing complex, messy contracting environments

\n\t

• Strong stakeholder management – able to influence without authority

\n\n\n

Desirable

\n\n

\n\t
• Exposure to regulated sectors / public procurement (e.g. NHS / frameworks)

\n\t

• Experience in growing or improving legal functions

\n\t

• Interest in AI, data or emerging tech

\n\t

• M&A / integration exposure

\n\n\n
