Senior Legal Counsel

In House Commercial Lawyer – Technology Sector - 6+ pqe - London

Our client is a Fortune 500, multi-brand, technology solutions provider to business, government, education and healthcare organisations, globally.

Marsden are exclusively retained to place candidates into this thriving business. We have already worked with this client on several mandates. Now they are looking to hire a senior Commercial lawyer with at least 6 years' City commercial technology experience ideally with private practice training as well as in-house exposure. This is an exciting role in a dynamic global organisation with a growing legal team that will suit a commercially minded, outgoing individual.

You will be keenly involved in

• Contract negotiation - dealing with complex supplier, partner, and customer contracts You will need to know the industry well and be able to present a pragmatic approach for the good of the business.

• Internal networking - actively getting involved with other teams and adding value; and

• Sales team partnering - you will be able to challenge senior stakeholders, and look at projects from a wider commercial perspective.

You will deal with a broad range of matters such as strategic initiatives, customer and commercial arrangements, new technologies, IP, partnership ecosystems, disputes, and matters of risk, compliance and ethics. Experience in a dynamic and fast moving sales environment with the ability to prioritise and manage stakeholders at all levels is going to be key. Also having some public sector experience as well as working with US organisations and their legal functions would also be beneficial

Reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel, Legal, UK & International, you will be offered autonomy and the freedom to grow and take the initiative in addition to managing junior team members.
