As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be joining a busy manufacturing environment where no two days are ever quite the same. The factory combines traditional steel fabrication with modern laser welding technology, automated production equipment and bespoke machinery built in-house.
It's the sort of place where you'll constantly be learning because the machinery is varied, the engineering challenges are real, and every improvement you make has a visible impact on production.
You'll work alongside an experienced team of Maintenance Engineers who know the site inside out. Several come from strong mechanical backgrounds, which is why they're now looking to bring additional electrical expertise into the department.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns when they happen and play a key role in improving equipment reliability across the site.
Everything is planned and recorded through handheld maintenance devices, giving you a structured workload instead of spending every shift firefighting.
Preventative maintenance isn't something they talk about during meetings before going back to reactive repairs.
It's genuinely how they operate.
PLC programming is a key part of this Maintenance Engineer role. If you've developed, modified or fault found PLC-controlled machinery, your experience will make a real difference from day one.

- Around 3-5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment
- A multi-skilled background with an electrical bias
- PLC programming and fault-finding experience
- The confidence to work independently and prioritise your workload
- A practical approach to problem solving with a genuine interest in improving machinery, not simply repairing it
- £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
- Three-shift rotation - or Core - 9am - 5pm
- 28 days' annual leave including a Christmas shutdown
