Data Business Analyst

Business Analyst

Location: London (Hybrid – 3 days office / 2 days remote)

Type: Permanent

Our client, a large national bank, is undergoing a major transformation programme within a newly formed, high-growth payments business. This organisation is building a modern, SaaS-driven technology landscape to replace a complex legacy estate — and they’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to help shape the future of Finance, HR, Risk and wider Enterprise Technology. If you thrive in a fast-paced, flat-structured, highly autonomous environment with a fintech mindset, this role offers the perfect blend of challenge, ownership and impact.

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role across multiple streams of enterprise technology change. Your work will include:

  • Investigating and analysing data quality, lineage, controls and source systems.
  • Documenting data sources, methodologies and gaps, and recommending improvements.
  • Designing and supporting the build of automated data pipelines.
  • Applying advanced analytical techniques, including statistical and machine learning approaches, to uncover trends and insights.
  • Translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for operational and process enhancement.
  • Creating dashboards, visual reports and automated reporting solutions.
  • Capturing, documenting and validating business requirements and producing high-quality project artefacts.
  • Advising and influencing stakeholders across functions on strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Supporting risk management, governance and control-strengthening activities across the technology landscape.

Required skills/experience:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in a complex or enterprise-scale environment.
  • Strong, demonstrable data skills — comfortable sourcing, analysing, cleansing, and summarising large datasets.
  • Experience producing clear requirements, process documentation and functional specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex information for varied audiences.
  • A proactive, self-sufficient approach with a bias for action.

Highly desirable experience:

  • Working within Finance, HR or Risk technology domains.
  • Exposure to SaaS transformation or large-scale system migrations.
  • Stakeholder management across enterprise functions.
  • Familiarity with risk and controls, change & transformation, or digital/technology capability.

This is a chance to influence enterprise-wide systems and processes while contributing to one of the most exciting transformation programmes currently underway in the payments technology space. If you’re a data-driven, analytical Business Analyst who enjoys solving complex problems and wants to be part of a high-impact transformation, please apply with your CV for more information.
