Apprentice Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Role
As our apprentice your first year will involve attending college 3-days per week during term-time, so you would need to make sure you have your own method of transport.
You will work as part of a busy engineering team as an Engineering Apprentice with the ultimate goal of becoming a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer.
In summary, the successful applicants will undertake a programme of
training to gain full working knowledge to progress into an Engineering
Team Member role. This will lead to the accountability for the safe
undertaking of assigned engineering tasks.
EWRs/PPMs/Breakdowns), ensuring a proactive approach to the prevention of equipment failure, contributing to site delivery of safety, quality, waste and OEE targets.
Duties will include:
- Undertake work activities using the correct processes, procedures, and equipment
- Carry out the required checks (such as quality, compliance, or testing) using the correct procedures, processes and/or equipment
- Complete any required documentation at the appropriate stages of the work activity
- Undertake different roles and functions in the organisation and understand how they interact
- Always Work safely, complying with health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations, and organisational requirements
- Contribute to the business by identifying possible opportunities for improving working practices, processes and/or procedures
Training
After a period of foundation skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
After a further period of skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
- (Development Competence) – Mechatronics Maintenance Technician
