The Role

As a Data Analyst, you'll be diving into projects ranging from transforming data using BigQuery SQL, creating and interpreting web analytics dashboards in Looker Studio and session replay analysis. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your skills in a broad range of activities within the digital marketing realm.

Key Skills and Experience

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Looker Studio or Power Bi.

- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

- Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, aggregations, and performance optimization

  • Strong experience working with web analytics data
  • Experience building data models from scratch in SQL
  • Experience defining and creating closed funnels in SQL
  • Hands-on experience managing end-to-end data flows and ingesting data from external sources
  • Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform
  • Working knowledge of Python for lightweight scripting, utilities, or support tasks
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of business-critical datasets

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the flow of web analytics data from ingestion through transformation, modeling, validation, and delivery
  • Ingest and integrate data from external sources, APIs, platforms, and internal systems
  • Build robust SQL models from scratch to support reporting, analysis, and business decision-making
  • Create and maintain closed-funnel logic in SQL for conversion, journey, and performance analysis
  • Transform raw event-level and source data into clean, documented, business-ready datasets
  • Manage and troubleshoot data flows across multiple systems and data dependencies
  • Ensure data quality through reconciliation, validation, and issue detection
  • Partner with analytics, product, marketing, and business stakeholders to translate questions into scalable data models
  • Support reporting on traffic, engagement, funnel progression, and conversion performance
  • Improve the reliability, maintainability, and structure of the analytics data layer

- Assist with Google Tag Manager - tag management and maintenance.

- Assisting in various tasks to support the smooth operation of the business.

- Building and maintaining analytics dashboards

- Client management and being responsive to client requests.

- Documenting processes for efficient planning and application of key services.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Project management and client communication
  • Chasing updates and agreeing deadlines with third-party suppliers.
  • Providing clear and timely updates to clients on project progress, including highlighting blockers and proposed solutions.
  • Updating Trello cards for project management and reporting.
  • Messaging clients and suppliers on Slack for updates and client communications.
  • Data analysis and tracking
  • Testing tracking using Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
  • Documenting user journeys and creating Trello cards for tracking and resolving new tasks.
  • Reviewing data for accuracy, identifying missing or inconsistent information, and interrogating results.

  • Reporting and dashboards
  • Producing performance dashboards and reports in Looker Studio to support data visualisation for stakeholders.
  • Creating reports in Excel and PowerPoint presentations where required.
  • Using Looker Studio and BigQuery for KPI analysis and dashboard building.
  • Extracting and analysing data with SQL, BigQuery, GA4, and Looker Studio.
  • Reviewing website analytics on user behaviours, website performance, page loads and conversions.

Training and Qualifications:

Degree – preferable (Not essential)

GCSE Maths and English

BigQuery SQL for Google Analytics or BigQuery MySQL
