Senior Data Modeller – Director
Global Banking | London | Hybrid | Up to £120,000 + Bonus
We are partnering with a major global bank to appoint a Senior Data Modeller at Director level, joining its growing Data Architecture and Modelling capability.
This is a senior, hands-on role for an experienced Data Modeller who can work across complex banking data environments, establish modelling standards and provide leadership across major data initiatives.
The successful candidate will combine deep conceptual and logical data modelling expertise with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and influence how data is structured, defined and governed across the organisation.
The role
You will:
- Lead the development of enterprise-level conceptual and logical data models.
- Create and maintain models across multiple business and data domains.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear, reusable data structures.
- Establish and embed data modelling standards, principles and best practice.
- Work closely with Data Architects, Data Governance, business teams and technology stakeholders.
- Define common data concepts, entities, relationships and business definitions.
- Support the development of consistent data taxonomies and domain models.
- Identify commonality, duplication and inconsistencies across existing data models.
- Provide modelling leadership and guidance to other architects and modellers.
- Support major data transformation and strategic change programmes.
- Remain hands-on with modelling while operating with the influence expected at Director level.
What we're looking for
You will be an experienced Senior / Lead Data Modeller, Data Architect or Information Architect with:
- Extensive conceptual and logical data modelling experience.
- Strong experience working within banking or financial services.
- Experience modelling complex, enterprise-scale data environments.
- A strong understanding of data domains, entities, relationships and business definitions.
- Experience establishing or improving data modelling standards and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Governance and Data Management principles.
- Experience working with recognised data modelling tools and methodologies.
- The ability to translate complex business concepts into models that can be understood across business and technology teams.
- Strong senior stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring or direction to other data professionals.

Salary: Up to £120,000 + bonus and benefits
Location: London – hybrid working, typically two days per week in the office
