Job Summary : The Agile Project Manager will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating Agile project teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering products that provide exceptional business value. This role will manage several concurrent high visibility projects using Agile methodologies in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Agile Project Management:
  • Lead and manage software development projects utilizing Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration:
  • Lead and motivate project team members and associated stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospective meetings.
  • Ensure the development team is practicing the core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility.
  • Remove impediments and coach the team on removing impediments.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the point of contact for internal and external customers and stakeholders regarding project status and deliverables.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication and ensure stakeholders are engaged and aware of the project’s progress and any obstacles that arise.
  • Communicate project risks and issues and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Promote continuous improvement by adhering to Lean/Agile principles and practices.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in Agile frameworks.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify and manage project risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues, and provide options to resolve.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent Agile Project Management certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of years of experience in project management in an Agile environment.
  • Thorough understanding of Agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, Confluence, or similar.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to changes and adjust priorities as required.
