Job Summary

Sr. Test Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests for APIs and web applications using Cypress API Framework and Playwright to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable software delivery. Candidate must have relevant experience of 3 to 6 Years.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for RESTful APIs using Cypress API Framework.
  • Develop and execute end-to-end UI and functional test automation using Playwright.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements and define clear test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
  • Implement robust test data management and test environment setup for API and UI automation.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and fast feedback.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with the development team to drive timely resolution.
  • Ensure appropriate test coverage for regression, integration, and system testing across services and applications.
  • Create and maintain clear test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
  • Participate in code reviews for test automation scripts to ensure quality, reusability, and adherence to best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tooling, and automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support performance, reliability, and security testing initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in Quality Engineering - API Automation Testing using Cypress API Framework (Technical).
  • Proven experience in Quality Engineering - Automation Testing using Playwright (Technical).
  • Hands-on experience with test automation in modern programming languages (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript or similar).
  • Good understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, request/response structures, and API validation techniques.
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar) for automated test execution.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
  • Experience working in agile development environments (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
