Contract Length: 12 months, ASAP start, part-time or full time contract

Location: remote with travel to Reading Area office on day 1 and quarterly

The company are a leading FinTech Software Company, experience huge growth and with a reputation for being a market leader. The Product Owner is a key stakeholder and decision maker for product delivery. You will ensure both SaaS/cloud and desktop software products are delivered in agile processes through coordination of developers, QA's, and BA's. You will lead sprint meetings, lead integration of an additional application, and manage the backlog. You will work on different products within the product portfolio.

Responsibilities - Product Owner

  • Facilitate all agile events to drive delivery through the development lifecycle i.e. sprint meetings
  • Work collaboratively to understand and establish the product strategy and vision
  • Assist Product Management with outward-facing communications and external stakeholder relationships
  • Support the product roadmap by applying strategy and define project goals, scope and timelines of updates and enhancements
  • Continually review progress of development and bring to attention any unforeseen changes to delivery or scope
  • Facilitate the production of well-defined user stories and continuous monitoring, refinement and prioritisation of the product backlog
  • Maintain effective communication between internal stakeholders
  • Ensure that all changes to requirements are well-thought through, implications considered, discussed with all relevant stakeholders, implemented and tested

Requirements - Product Owner

  • 3+ years’ experience working as a Product Owner or Product/Business Analyst
  • Experience working on related products where the client is communicating with external clients i.e. CRM, HR, finance, accountancy, law or similar
  • Experience working on both desktop and SaaS/cloud software products
  • Extensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Proven experience of working with agile/scrum methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive experience of defining, estimating and prioritising product backlog
  • Extensive experience of facilitating agile events
  • Strong ability to manage stakeholder relationships (internal and external)
