55000 - 63000 per annumFarnborough, England Permanent Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join their team in Farnborough. In this permanent role, you will work with cutting-edge technology to enable secure, scalable, and mission-critical cloud capabilities within complex operational environments.Key Responsibilities:Building and configuring cloud services to meet business and application requirementsMonitoring cloud environments for performance, availability, cost optimisation, and security complianceDeveloping and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templatesAutomating deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual interventionImplementing and enforcing cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and network securityWorking closely with development, operations, and security teams to enable smooth application deploymentsJob Requirements:Previous experience in designing, deploying, and managing solutions in AWSProven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as TerraformPractical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and toolsFamiliarity with networking concepts (DNS, VPN, load balancers, firewalls, routing)Strong familiarity with AWS servicesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)This role is based at either the Farnborough site, with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.
