Our client, a specialist technology and services business supporting financial services organisations, is seeking an EDM (Enterprise Data Management) Consultant to join its permanent, client-facing delivery function. This UK / EU remote role involves no travel and focuses on helping organisations reconcile, control and trust critical data across complex operating environments.
Working with stakeholders across Operations, Finance and Product Control, Data, Technology and Change, you will design and embed practical enterprise data management capabilities that improve governance, data quality, metadata, lineage and stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead discovery and requirements workshops with business and technology stakeholders to understand data domains, pain points, controls and target outcomesDesign and implement data governance, ownership models, stewardship workflows, metadata and lineage approachesDefine business glossaries, critical data elements, policies, standards, controls and RACI operating model artefactsDrive data quality activities including profiling, rule definition, issue triage, remediation pathways, KPI reporting and continuous improvementCoordinate delivery across data engineering, architecture, risk, operations and PMO or change teamsProduce clear client-ready documentation, including process flows, data flows, lineage views, governance packs and training materialsPresent delivery updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders and mixed technical and business audiencesSupport adoption and change through communications, enablement, training and the embedding of business-as-usual governance and controlsJob Requirements: Experience delivering enterprise data management or data governance initiatives in a consulting or client-facing environmentExperience with an EDM platform such as Prime EDM, SimCorp, Collibra, NeoXam or AlationStrong understanding of data governance and stewardship models, including ownership, accountability and operating modelsKnowledge of data quality concepts such as profiling, rules, monitoring, issue management and KPIsUnderstanding of metadata management, data cataloguing and data lineage documentationAwareness of master data concepts and key domains, including customer, product, supplier and location dataExcellent facilitation, stakeholder management, technical writing and presentation skillsA pragmatic delivery mindset, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and drive decisions and outcomesStrong knowledge of data and big data concepts, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical teamsDesirable Skills: Experience working with financial services data, including banking, capital markets or investment management environmentsFamiliarity with controls, reconciliations or books-and-records processesExposure to enterprise data catalogues, governance suites, cloud-native governance tools or master data management platformsUnderstanding of change delivery and governance forums, including steering committees, design authorities, RAID and project governanceBenefits: Fully remote working across the UK and EU with no travel requirementsOpportunity to work on mission-critical data control and integrity challenges for leading financial services organisationsHigh-impact, client-facing work with the scope to shape operating models and improve data qualityCollaborative environment with opportunities to develop into solution leadership, delivery leadership or data domain specialismIf you are an EDM Consultant with strong enterprise data management, data governance and big data expertise, this is an opportunity to make a measurable impact across complex financial services environments.
