Electromagnetic Warfare Systems Engineer
Our client, a leading player in the defence and security sector, is seeking an Electromagnetic Warfare Systems Engineer to join their team. This permanent position plays a critical role in the EW Group's efforts to develop current and future EW Weapon Systems, contributing to national defence capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and verify weapon system design and integration
- Oversee RF system design, threat analysis, and simulation activities
- Ensure EW capability and system design meet operational and budgetary requirements
- Act as the EW requirements authority and lead the EW System design for Weapon Systems
- Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure successful integration and testing of system components
- Conduct capability assessments and road-mapping
Job Requirements:
- Experience in systems engineering methods, toolsets, and processes
- Background in complex systems product development is essential
- Experience in Weapon System systems design and validation is desirable
- Proficiency across the full engineering development lifecycle
- Understanding of Electromagnetic Countermeasures and Electromagnetic Support/Surveillance systems
- Experience in systems integration and requirements management (e.g., DOORS)
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders
- DV clearance or willingness to apply for it

Locations:
Hertfordshire, Bristol, Greater Manchester
Dynamic (hybrid) working: typically, a minimum of 3 days per week on-site, due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
