Role Purpose

As the primary Subject Matter Expert for Google Workspace and Slack Enterprise, you will sit at the intersection of technology architecture and programme delivery.You will guide Barclays through a large-scale modernization of its collaboration tools, ensuring the platforms are secure, compliant with financial regulations, and seamlessly integrated into the bank's core ecosystem.

Key Accountabilities1. Solution Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Serve as the go-to authority for Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Shared Drives, IAM) and Slack (Enterprise Grid).
• Define the future-state collaboration architecture aligned with Barclays' enterprise standards and transformation goals.
• Provide technical direction on platform assessments, coexistence strategies, and operational design.

2. Integration & Migration Design

• Define integration patterns between Slack/Google and core Barclays systems (e.g., Identity Access Management (IAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and monitoring tools).
• Guide the technical configuration of Slack Enterprise Grid, including workspace strategy and Enterprise Key Management (EKM).
• Lead "carve-out" and separation scenarios, ensuring data residency and compliance during migrations.

3. Governance, Security & Risk

• Ensure all collaboration solutions meet strict Barclays security, regulatory, and audit requirements.
• Represent the programme at Architectural Review Boards and governance forums to provide design assurance.
• Identify platform risks early (e.g., data leakage, unauthorized access) and propose mitigation strategies.

4. Stakeholder & Programme Delivery

• Act as the technical bridge between Enterprise Architecture, CISO (Chief Information Security Office), and third-party vendors.
