IT Support Analyst - Multi site


Our client, a global power distribution company, is currently seeking an experienced IT Analyst for a contract position. This role involves supporting a number of sites based in the midlands and north midlands, providing crucial technical assistance to both local and remote users.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploying, configuring, and supporting end-user hardware such as PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Installing and supporting operating systems and productivity software.
  • Adhering to IT Service Management (ITSM) processes including asset, change, incident, request, problem, and project management to meet service levels.
  • Providing on-site IT support and assisting in resolving broader technical issues.
  • Contributing to root cause analysis and long-term problem management.
  • Acting as a key point of contact between IT and users, promoting standards, improving user satisfaction, and sharing best practices.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies on ethics, data protection, information security, and HR, protecting both physical and information assets.

Site locations:

You will be based out of one site 2-3 days of the week as a 'home base'. The other 2-3 days of the week you will travel to other sites to provide IT support where required.

  • Nottinghamshire (2 sites)
  • Leicestershire (2 sites)
  • West Midlands (1 site)
  • Worcestershire (1 site)
  • Some very occasioanl travel to Lincolnshire (1 site)

Fuel is covered and some of the travel time is paid for.



Job Requirements:

Your own transport and full driving licence is required for this role.


Education:

  • Associate degree or high school diploma (required)
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • ITIL Foundations certification
  • CompTIA A+ certification


Experience:

  • Experience in IT support within a hands-on technical role


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS and Office suites
  • Experience with hardware such as PCs, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure including networks, servers, storage, and phone systems
  • Familiarity with manufacturing IT equipment like barcode scanners, RF scanners, industrial PCs, and specialist printers
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles


Soft Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to adapt to complex, fast-moving IT environments
  • Knowledge of ITSM processes including Asset, Incident, Request, Problem, and Change Management
  • Ability to work independently.
