The OpportunityOur client is at the forefront of delivering advanced cryptographic and key management solutions that enable the secure exchange of mission‐critical information. Our technology supports customers operating at both tactical and strategic levels across security, aerospace and space domains.We are now seeking a Senior PCB Designer to play a key role in multiple concurrent research, development and production programmes, ranging from tens of thousands to several million pounds in value.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and layout complex multi‐layer (4-20 layer) PCBs, including rigid, semi‐rigid and flex‐rigid designsProduce PCB layouts for analogue, RF, digital, power, high‐speed and high‐reliability circuits (DO‐254 where required)Apply security, EMC and TEMPEST design rulesIncorporate DFT features and test points in collaboration with Production TestWork closely with electronic, mechanical, procurement and supply chain teamsLiaise with PCB fabricators and assembly houses to meet DRC, DFM and DFT requirementsMaintain and administer CAD libraries (symbols, footprints, databases)Participate in design reviews and contribute to bids, proposals and technical estimatesContinuously improve tools, processes and PCB design best practicesRequired Skills & ExperienceDegree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or equivalent experienceProven experience designing complex, high‐density PCBsStrong knowledge of IPC standards, routing guidelines and modern PCB design toolsExperience with DFM/DFT implementation and supplier reviewsTrack record delivering multi‐layer, high‐speed, RF, analogue and power designsDesirableSignal integrity analysis experienceKnowledge of power distribution and thermal designGerber and ODB++ manipulationAltium or PADs layout and schematic captureWindchill or similar version control toolsClient BenefitsEvery employee is critical to our success, and as such, we offer a range of flexible employee benefits, including:Participation in an Annual Bonus SchemePrivate Medical Cover25 days' holiday (plus Bank Holidays) with the option to buy an extra 5 daysPension Contribution4 x Life Assurance CoverFlexible working hours with opportunity for a 1pm finish on a FridayFlexible benefits including cycle to work scheme, will writing and moreSecurity Clearance Allowance - where relevant and subject to you holding the required security clearance
