Principal Systems Engineer - Future Products

Are you a systems engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, shaping future technologies, and influencing early-stage product development? We're looking for a Principal Systems Engineer to play a pivotal role in our Future Products team - a group dedicated to defining the next generation of advanced systems.

As a Future Products Principal Systems Engineer, you'll help shape early-phase concepts that could define the technology landscape for the decades ahead. From engaging with customers and exploring new technologies, to working across multi-disciplinary teams and developing system-level solutions, this is an opportunity to make a genuine impact at the forefront of innovation.

You'll be involved in:

• Early-phase design and concept development

• Requirement elicitation, road-mapping, and bid support

• Running system trade studies and applying systems engineering methods

• Exploring emerging technologies and integrating new functionality

• Engaging stakeholders to influence and drive new opportunities

We're seeking someone with:

• Strong systems engineering expertise and enthusiasm for applying new methods

• Experience with tools such as DOORS, Rhapsody, and systems design analysis frameworks (e.g. Pugh Matrix, QFD)

• A background in complex systems development (defence, aerospace, or similar domains beneficial)

• Confidence in navigating uncertainty, developing concepts, and defining system solutions

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes

• Planning and task management experience

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be British Citizens or dual nationals with British citizenship. All successful applicants will undergo baseline security checks.
