Our client, a prominent player in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Product Lead for the Systems Operations Equipment Team. This permanent position will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Systems products, spearheading innovative proposals for architectural solutions across a diverse product range.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the definition and delivery of product strategiesInfluence future project roadmaps, policies, and technical standardsEnsure compliance with wider Generic Systems Architecture (GMA/GSA) strategiesEnsure products remain cost effective, deliverable, and meet capability requirements of future customersLead and shape new proposals for architectural solutions to the point of acceptance by the Project and Delivery TeamInfluence programmes and future projects to adopt the product line approach to developmentCollaborate with stakeholders both in the UK and internationallyDevelop and maintain strong relationships with academia, SMEs, and potential suppliersJob Requirements: Experience in the design and development of electronics, preferably in the defence industry with knowledge of the product sectorAbility to understand technology and its potential usesStrategic thinker with strong influencing skills across peer groups and into senior managementDemonstrated experience of defining product strategies and roadmapsAbility to shape new proposals for architectural solutions to acceptanceClear and concise engineering documentation writing and presentation skillsBenefits: Company bonus: Up to 21% (based on company performance and will vary year to year)Pension: Maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%Flexible working: Applicants looking for flexible working arrangements are welcomeEnhanced parental leave: Up to 26 weeks for maternity, adoption and shared parental leaveFantastic site facilities including subsidised meals and free car parkingHealthcare Cash Plan: Claim cashback on everyday healthcare expenses such as optical, dental, health and wellbeingImportant: All applicants must be able to obtain Security Clearance and therefore be as a minimum be a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Working: Typically, this could be 2 days per week on-site and 3 days remote working. This role could be full time or part time, 4 or 5 days per week. The client are flexible and accommodating.
